Into the woods {& beyond}

We've got rain - lots of it. I don't mind it - the flowers need it. The kids don't seem to mind it either; or I should say, they don't mind exploring in it. Yesterday I told them that we'd definitely go on our nature walk today, and so we did.
They ran fast and hard, stuck their tongues out to feel the raindrops, and picked (and showed off) wild flowers.

* in the 2nd photo they are doing their warm up stretches before our walk :)
the last picture is of some flowers that they picked for our table

Love this post! When the rain starts, I am usually trying to think of what I can do to keep the kids entertained inside...I never keep it simple and just let them put on their rain coats and go outside!

I love that the rain became an excitement and not something to back away from. I'm always worried about taking our little ones out here for activity hour when it is raining as many of the parents really don't like it but it can be such fun to catch raindrops in your mouth and see how beautiful the plants look with the drops splashing off. A delightful post. Thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids.

Loving the colours of their raincoats. Sometimes getting outside when it's wet is even more magical.
