Les pommes * a french song & BOM stuff

2.11.15
There's an old French children's rhyme,  that I learnt as a kid. I never knew what it meant - still don't :) It's a silly song really. I didn't even remember it until Big Boy started singing it.
Big Boy's version of the song is slightly different from mine, but still quite silly.

So why this song? Because in the month of October we were talking about apples..(les pommes), and all the reasons why we love them. Our October book of the month, The Busy Little Squirrel by Nancy Tafuri, shows a very busy squirrel gathering nuts, seeds and other foods for the upcoming winter. He is so busy that he doesn't have time to play.

The Busy Little Squirrel is a short, sweet book filled with lovely pictures and simple (somewhat repetitive) text, which was perfect for even the smallest wonders. We loved it!
