We also made some changes to our soup day. This is pretty exciting for the kids. We do a bit of learning and have discussions about types of foods, and why we should always try to eat healthy foods. Of course some take in more than others.
Last week we had our first big snow fall. It happened just in time for our weekly nature walk...you'll see a post about that sometime this week.We are no longer rotating our "table" activities every single morning. We have narrowed it down to 2 mornings a week. I would love to do it every morning; I think it is a much needed exercise, especially for the older children, but that's what happens with a mixed age group.
We are also having circle time 4 out of 5 mornings again. If you remember the older boys had voted less circle. Now that they are no longer a part of the regular morning routine, we are moving away from our old schedule - it's still open though, and whatever we do- formal or informal, the kids get to start the morning off with the group.
