Social and emotional play is the pathway to academics...I don''t think there's any other way around it!
We are focusing on fostering independent learning (well that's my job :)).
Lately, the children who are very capable of working independently, and setting goals are right on target. With gentle guidance, they continue to participate in a lot of open-ended play. It is through this type of play that children learn to express themselves and get even more creative.
